A Little Adventure

One winter day, when I was about 6 years old, I went out one morning. It was a beatiful sunny day and I decided to make a snowman. I had two black buttons and a carrot in my pocket. I worked hard for about 3 hours, but when I finished, I started to cry, because I thought that my snowman was ugly. I sat down next to it and looked around.
I suddenly noticed birds footprints. I had read from a dwarf book that dwarfs use bird legs to move from place to place. So I began to follow the footprints. I felt like a detective. I was very exited and hoped to find a dwarfhouse. I was getting hungry, I hadn't eaten since 9 o'clock in the morning. I couldn't give up, I kept searching. I had another problem, too- my mother had asked me to be home before the dark and the sun had nearly disappeared to the west. I lost the trace of the bird footprintses. I was sure that I had to dig where I had stopped, to find their house.
I went home to eat and sleep. The next morning I went to find the mysterious place again, but I wasn't able to find it anymore, because it had been snowing all night. I wasn't disapponted at all. I had other things to be happy about on the Christmas Day. I ran inside to unpack my presents. It was a good day.
The moral of this story is that sometimes hope is the best comfort for sadness.

William

Once upon a time, there wa a man who was very rich. His name was William. He was also very greedy. William wanted all the treasures in the world to be his. He insulted everybody who weren't as rich as he was, and because of that people hated him.
One day a huge storm came to the village where William lived. There was a tornado which raised him up and he flew away on to a lonely island.
A few days later William woke up and found himself on the beach. He saw a little black box there. He opened it and a weird voice came out of it. The voice allowed William to wish three wishes. In the beginning William didn't believe it and joked that it could snow. After he had wished that, an increadible thing happened- pure, white snow began to fall down. As it was also freezing, William had to waste another wish to make it back normal. He had only one wish left. Without thinking he wanted all his treasures and money to be on the beach. So it happened. He was alone on the beach with all his money. Then he finally realized what he had done.
He spent seven months on that island in solitude. He had changed a lot. He didn't care about his money anymore. He just wanted to go home. Suddenly he saw a fisherman in a boat on the sea. William screamed as loud as he could, the fisherman saw him and took him home.
William's treasures stayed on the beach and he never wanted them back. Other people in the village saw how much he had changed and treated him as a friend. William understood that wealth is not the most important thing in the world.
The moral of the story is: money doesn't give us everything.
